De-annexation of 3.64 acres of property near Kendrick Municipal Golf Course and annexation of 4.15 acres was an item of discussion at this week’s Sheridan City Council study session. City Planning Kelly Schroeder said that in December of 2024, the City worked with adjacent property owner Sheridan Heights Ranch, LLC to adjust the boundary line of the Kendrick Municipal Golf Course to match the existing fence line. This was simply a property boundary adjustment, not a municipal boundary adjustment, and resulted in 3.64 acres of land owned by Sheridan Heights Ranch, LLC to fall within municipal limits, and 4.15 acres of land owned by the City of Sheridan to fall within the County.
Schroeder said two applications have been brought forward, one to de-annex the 3.6 acres and to annex the 4.1 acres of property.
Both the de-annexation and annexation will be considered by the Sheridan City Council in the form of separate ordinances. First reading of those ordinances are expected to be on the agenda for the City Council’s next business meeting on Tuesday, September 2 at 5:30 pm.
