The Cowboy Carousel Discovery Center will present its fourth youth theater production, Annie Jr., featuring more than 40 young artists from Johnson and Sheridan counties.
Performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, at the Buffalo High School Auditorium.
The beloved adaptation of the Broadway classic follows spirited orphan Annie as she searches for family and hope in 1930s New York City. With songs such as “It’s the Hard Knock Life” and “Tomorrow,” the show aims to delight audiences of all ages.
The production showcases 35 student performers and introduces five new student technicians learning sound, lighting, and backstage operations. Participants, ranging in age from 4 to 19, have been rehearsing throughout the summer to bring the story to life.
Tickets will be available at the door: $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and students, and free for children under 3.
