In December of 2024, staff with the City of Sheridan worked with adjacent property owner Sheridan Heights Ranch, LLC to adjust the boundary line of the Kendrick Municipal Golf Course to match the existing fence line. City Planner Kelly Schroeder said the property boundary adjustment resulted in 3.64 acres of land owned by Sheridan Heights Ranch, LLC to fall within municipal limits, and 4.15 acres of land owned by the City of Sheridan to fall within the County.

Following Schroeder’s presentation, the City Council approved two separate ordinances on first reading, one to de-annex the 3.64 acres of property and one to annex the 4.15 acres of property. Both of the ordinances must be approved by the City Council two more times before the annexation and de-annexation take effect.
