The Neltje Center Backyard Reverie Sept. 13

The Neltje Center is inviting the Sheridan region to an afternoon of music as 90 award-winning students and faculty from the University of Wyoming Music Department perform outdoors against the backdrop of the Bighorn Mountains.

The program will feature Copland’s “Hoedown,” tangos, Latin favorites, and works by Gershwin. UW Music has assembled an exceptional ensemble for the concert, featuring the UW Jazz Ensemble I, the UW Chamber Strings and the UW Collegiate Chorale.

Backyard Reverie will be held 3–5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, at the Neltje Center.

Guests are encouraged to bring a picnic blanket or camp chair, enjoy free food and a cash bar, and let the music sweep them away.
