News – Sheridan Media

Hear from the writers of the new Dinosaur Rock Musical: A Jukebox Journey Through Time on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse at 9:06 a.m. airing on 930 KROE and 103.9 FM.

The locally produced show, coming to the WYO Performing Arts and Education Center Sept. 6-7, was written by Grace and Ian Cannon-Wallace, with music direction by Stephanie Neujahr. The couple will join host Floyd Whiting on Public Pulse to talk about how they blended well-known rock hits from the 1960s through the 1980s, including Born to Be Wild by Steppenwolf, with rewritten lyrics celebrating dinosaurs.

The original script follows siblings Ella and Thea as they face the challenges of growing up. A magical journey into a dinosaur-filled realm helps them rediscover their bond and embrace their love of the prehistoric past.

Performers include the Young Theatre Makers Ensemble, part of WYO PLAY’s program for middle and high school artists. Before each performance, representatives from the Natural History Museum of Wyoming at Sheridan College and Science Kids will offer fossil displays, hands-on activities, and educational opportunities.

Showtimes are 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, at the WYO Performing Arts and Education Center. Tickets are $9 for children 12 and younger, $12 for students, and $16 for adults.
