The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) has released the latest update on the Buffalo Main Street Project for September 4.
On South Main Street at the Cemetery Creek Culvert, paving from Brock Street south to the Bypass Road was scheduled to begin on Thursday, September 4, with traffic expected to return to normal the week of September 8.
Work still needing to be completed includes shoulder work, back-filling, and seeding.
On Main Street downtown, contractors will be grinding and sweeping ahead of installing pavement crosswalks and lane striping.
North Main Street from Fort Street to Hart Street, utility upgrades have reached the Hart Street intersection.
Motorists should watch for lane closures and traffic control there as they cross the intersection to tie into the existing water line.
Paving is scheduled for the last week of September, weather and schedule permitting.
Pedestrians are asked to utilize sidewalks with cation, and WYDOT reminds the public that sidewalks are closed to bikes and e-bikes.
