On Thursday, September 11, beginning at 8 a.m., the Arvada-Clearmont School will hold their annual 9-11 Patriot Day ceremony.
The ceremony is to honor the memory of those who died on Sept. 11, 2001, when a terrorist attack took down the twin towers in New York.
The 9-11 attacks left 2,977 dead. That total included the 2,753 people who died in New York, 184 people at the Pentagon and 40 people who died when Flight 93 crashed in Pennsylvania.
Included in the ceremony will be a flag raising, special music by the Arvada-Clearmont Band, and readings by the students.
The ceremony will take place outside the school near the flagpole, and all are welcome.
