The Sheridan Chamber of Commerce is preparing for Manufacturing Month

During an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Chamber Chief Executive Officer Teresa Detimore said the Chamber has celebrated National Manufacturing Day since 2017. But due to feedback, the decision was made to extend the celebration of local manufacturers for a month. This extension gave many residents more of an opportunity to take a peek behind the curtain but the real payoff was the increased participation of the next generation.

This year’s Manufacturing Month celebration will be throughout the month of October with more than 10 manufacturers in Sheridan and Johnson counties hosting public tours on various days. 

Any interested party can take tours at local manufacturers throughout the month. Currently, the staff at the Chamber is finalizing dates, times and local manufacturers.  

A schedule of tours will be available on the Chamber’s website by Oct. 1: sheridanwyomingchamber.org.
