News – Sheridan Media

Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Bighorns Executive Director Christine Dieterich appeared on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse to preview the upcoming Wolf Creek Wrangle.

A popular trail run and fundraiser, the Wrangle donates 100 percent of its proceeds to Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Bighorns. The 2025 run is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 20, at Eaton’s Ranch in Wolf.

Participants may choose from four trail options; a 5-mile, 7-mile, half-marathon, or 18-mile course. Designed for runners seeking a true challenge, the trails remain natural and untamed, offering an authentic backcountry experience where some scars from the Elk Fire are still visible.

Finishers will earn bragging rights and the chance to celebrate with food, music, and a cold drink at the end of the race.

Search and Rescue will be onsite, checking runners at aid stations. A first aid tent will be located at the finish line, staffed with Sheridan College nursing students providing minor care, water, and electrolytes. Organizers note participants may encounter wildlife, including deer, elk, bears, and snakes, and all runners take part at their own risk.
