Certification of the final plat of a subdivision in Sheridan County just outside of City limits was recently considered by the Sheridan City Council. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
A Memorandum of Understanding between Sheridan County and the City of Sheridan regarding the subdivision of land within one mile of the contiguous corporate limits, dated April 27, 2022, outlines the responsibilities of the two jurisdictions in reviewing and taking action on development proposals within the Joint Planning Area. The MOU stipulates that City staff and the City Council shall have the opportunity to make comments and suggestions on development plans in the area.
The City Council, at their recent business meeting, approved a resolution certifying the final plat of the Outlaw Commercial Park Subdivision, a request to subdivide 8.47 acres into seven commercial use lots at 1739 Brundage Lane in Sheridan. City Planner Kelly Schroeder.
Schroeder said the Future Land Use Map of the Joint Planning Area identifies the area as appropriate for light industrial use and the proposed subdivision and intended use of the lots aligns with what is contemplated in the Joint Land Use Plan.
