The Sheridan Community Land Trust is inviting the community to celebrate the opening of the connecting Highlander Trail with a BBQ on them.
Thanks to support from Wyoming Pathways, the Highlander Trail offers hikers and bikers another way to enjoy the mountains.
According to SCLT Marketing and Development Contractor Chris Vrba, the development of this trail has created a vital connection for explorers and adventures in the Bighorns.

The Land Trust will host a free community barbecue from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, at the Aspen Trailhead at Red Grade Trails. This event will mark the official opening of the Highlander Trail, connecting the Aspen Trailhead to the Little Bear Loop.
Organizers ask only that attendees bring sturdy shoes, a bike and their sense of adventure.
