Since 2018, the WYO Film Festival has celebrated films of all kinds, from shorts and animated works to full-length features. Organizers say the real draw is independent filmmaking: comedies, thrillers and documentaries designed to entertain, challenge and inspire audiences.
Now in its eighth year, the festival continues to grow in size and scope. This year’s lineup includes a special Saturday Morning Cartoons: A Family-Friendly Animated Short program.
Beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, the festival will showcase a colorful mix of animated shorts suited for both kids and adults. Attendees can enjoy a cereal bar, breakfast, coffee and Bloody Marys, with pajamas encouraged. The block will run approximately 45 minutes.
WYO Film Festival Creative Director Breton Shepard said the filmmakers themselves are central to the experience, often returning year after year, making lifelong memories of Sheridan.
