The deadline to register for youth basketball at the Sheridan County YMCA is fast approaching.
Sheridan County YMCA Sports Director Jake Mack appeared on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse and said he will gladly accept registration at the last minute. He emphasized that while sports at the youth level teach the fundamentals of the game and teamwork, there is one more important aspect to remember.

Beyond fun, youth basketball provides physical benefits including improved cardiovascular health, agility, coordination and bone density. It also offers mental and emotional benefits such as greater confidence, resilience, stress reduction, focus and problem-solving skills.
Fall basketball registration for kids in 2nd and 3rd grade is open until Oct. 10.
