News – Sheridan Media

The Buffalo Children’s Center (BCC) has temporarily closed, but will be reopen after completing a 45-day restructuring and reopening plan, according to a release from the Board of Directors.

In the release, the board explained the decision to close was not taken lightly, but the BCC has faced ongoing challenges with staffing shortages and financial strain, which made it impossible to continue safe and compliant operations under these circumstances.

The board added they “deeply regret the hardships this closure has caused for families, staff, and the broader Buffalo community. We sincerely apologize for the abrupt nature of this transition and recognize the disruption it brings to parents and children who rely on the BCC’s services.”

The plan, according to the board, is to reopen the BCC within 45 days.

Questions, concerns, or offers to help can be directed to board@bccwyo.org or by calling (307) 684-5802.
