Buffalo’s City Council has approved, on first reading, an Ordinance, No. 1423, to grant a non-exclusive permit for the construction and operation of a new cable system within the City of Buffalo.
Mayor Shane Schrader read the Ordinance, and no discussion was offered by the council.
Representatives for the company, Clarity Telecom, LLC d/b/a Bluepeak Fiber Internet, came before the city council last month to give a presentation, asking for the council to approve the permit to build and operate the system.
The council then voted to approve the Ordinance on first reading.
Two more readings will be required before it takes effect.
