Jo Co Commission: Rural Health Responsible for Kaycee Helipad

Johnson County’s Commissioners have voted to send a letter to the Rural Healthcare District Board, explaining their position that the helipad near Kaycee is not the county’s responsibility, but that of the district.

The commission discussed the matter before their decision.

Commissioner Steve Kozisek made a motion that was passed to send a letter to the Rural Healthcare District Board letting them know the commission felt the helipad was the district’s responsibility to maintain, but said the matter would be open to discussion at the commission’s next meeting on October 21 should they wish to discuss the issue further.
