News – Sheridan Media

Executive Director of the Downtown Sheridan Association Zoila Perry and Promotions and Marketing Committee Chair Mikkayla Heath appeared on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse to announce temporary road closures for the upcoming Halloween Monster Mash.

Perry and her team resurrected the popular Monster Mash last year, giving Sheridan’s kids a chance to dress up as heroes, monsters and princesses while trick-or-treating at downtown businesses.

According to Perry, last year’s event drew more than a thousand participants and was such a success that organizers decided to make safety a bigger focus this year.

Heath said the road closures will ensure a safe and festive experience for everyone.

The DSA Monster Mash is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 25. A costume contest will be held in Grinnell Plaza at 10 a.m., followed by trick-or-treating downtown at 10:30 a.m.
