An ordinance to rezone 31.8 acres of unplatted property located on the 900 block of East 5th Street in Sheridan from R-1 Residence District to B-1 Business District was approved on third and final reading by the Sheridan City Council at their business meeting Monday night. City Engineer Thomas Morneau.
Morneau said the applicant requested the rezone to allow for multi-family residential use and potential future commercial use on the property. Adjacent properties are zoned B-2 Business to the north, B-1 Business to the east and west, and R-1 Residence to the south and nearby land uses include an RV park, hotels, and restaurants.
