The annual fall pumpkin festival hosted by the City of Sheridan will not be happening this year. City Administrator Stu McRae made the announcement during this week’s Sheridan City Council business meeting and explained that the decision to cancel this year’s pumpkin festival came after a meeting with City Utilities Director Dan Roberts.
The City’s annual fall pumpkin festival began in 2021 as a family oriented community event to promote the composting of pumpkins. It has been held each year since 2021 on the first Saturday following Halloween.
