The Sheridan WYO Rodeo is proud to announce that Sankey Pro Rodeo and Phenom Genetics have earned top honors in professional rodeo, with numerous animals selected to perform at the 2025 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (WNFR) in Las Vegas, Nevada, December 4–13. Phenom Genetics’ bull Magic Touch has been named the 2025 PRCA Bull of the Year, marking the first time one of the contractor’s bulls has earned this prestigious award.

Sankey Pro Rodeo’s renowned bucking horse THE Black Tie was voted third place Saddle Bronc of the Year for 2025, his fourth consecutive year among the sport’s elite. Previous honors include 2022 World Champion Saddle Bronc and 2023–2024 Reserve Saddle Bronc of the Year. This year, Sankey Pro Rodeo and Phenom Genetics will take 12 animals to the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, including five bareback broncs, featuring Land of Fancy, which carried Sam Peterson to a record-breaking 91-point ride at the 2025 Sheridan WYO Rodeo, three saddle broncs, including THE Black Tie and Irv’s Legacy—named in honor of the late Irv Alderson, a legendary cowboy from southern Montana, and four bulls, highlighted by Magic Touch.
Further strengthening local ties, Sankey Pro Rodeo also supplies horses for the Sheridan College Rodeo Team, providing opportunities for college athletes to train with both developing and experienced stock.
