Give Your Heart to a Child Campaign: neighbors helping neighbors

The Sheridan County YMCA is once again uniting the community through its annual “Give Your Heart to a Child” campaign, aiming to raise $290,000 to ensure every resident has access to YMCA programs and facilities. The campaign funds scholarships for children, families, seniors and individuals, keeping essential programs affordable for those who need them most.

Funded largely through donations made by Sheridan County residents, the Give Your Heart to a Child campaign supports the YMCA’s scholarship program exclusively.

While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Sheridan County YMCA Executive Director Liz Cassiday spoke about the impact made every day through these community-funded scholarships.

Each fall, YMCA employees and volunteers donate their time to canvass the county, seeking neighbors willing to give from the heart. The program helps children take part in YMCA sports, classes, camps and programs, while also supporting memberships and activities for individuals and families of all ages who qualify for assistance.
