The Johnson County Historical Society (JCHS) will present Helen Jones, who will give a talk entitled, “The History of Asha Alma Tech: Where Two Rivers Meet” on Monday, November 3 at the Johnson County Library in Buffalo.
Nancy Tabb, President of the Historical Society, explains what Asha Alma Tech means.
According to a flier provided by the JCHS, Jones is a retired banker and served for five years on the Board of Agriculture under Governor Freudenthal.
She grew up intermittently on the Powder River, and will share her personal stories about Powder River heritage and the Asha Alma Tech where Crazy Woman Creek and the Powder River converge.
The presentation is free and open to all who are interested.
It will be presented November 3 at 6:30 p.m. and again on December 1 at 6:30 p.m.
