The Hospital Board of Trustees for the Johnson County Healthcare Center recently discussed the Credentialing Report presented at their last meeting.
Board President Dr. Mark Schueler gave more details to the rest of the board.
Schueler said he was not aware of any of the current credentials up for approval that had any questionable conditions or need for discussion.
The credentialing committee did recommend approval of the list, which the board did approve.
According to aafp.org, physicians who work in a practice that contracts with federal or private insurers must undergo credentialing, which is the process of verifying a physician’s education, training, experience, current competence, and licensure to provide services.
