Late last month, the Sheridan College Board of Trustees approved the purchase of land in Buffalo that will serve as the site for a new Sheridan College campus in Johnson County.
The board approved the purchase of approximately 11 acres across from Buffalo High School at the intersection of South Main Street and Bypass Road for around $400,000.
Johnson County Commission Chair Bill Novotny said the expansion has been highly anticipated by residents. Sheridan College has maintained a presence in Johnson County for many years and has outgrown the locations previously used for administration and classes.
