The Hospital Board of Trustees for the Johnson County Healthcare Center discussed approving a modified agreement with Husch Blackwell for legal consultation for the facility.
CEO Luke Senden brought the information before the board for consideration, saying it would be more cost effective to enter into the new agreement.
According to discussion, the JCHC spent nearly $100,000 last year on legal consultation, after budgeting about $28,000.
The modified one-year agreement and monthly retainer will cover what the JCHC is using Husch Blackwell for now, but there will be additional costs for other services.
The board voted to approve the modified agreement.
