A change of plea hearing was held Wednesday in Fourth Judicial District Court for 36-year-old Tiffany Drew of Sheridan. Pursuant to the terms of a plea agreement reached with the State, Drew pleaded guilty to the charges felony possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, and felony conspiracy to possess a controlled substance – methamphetamine.
The possession charge stems from a traffic stop by a deputy with the Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office on February 7, 2025, when the deputy found Drew to be in possession of more than three grams of methamphetamine. The conspiracy charge is from when Drew conspired with co-defendant John Schroeder to purchase methamphetamine and have it delivered by mail to her mother’s home in Sheridan. Drew’s punishment will be argued at sentencing.
District Court Judge Darci Phillips ordered that a presentence investigation be completed by the Department of Corrections Division of Probation and Parole and scheduled sentencing for February 3 at 9 am. Drew’s bond was revoked and she was remanded to the custody of the Sheridan County Detention Center pending sentencing. Each charge that Drew pleaded guilty to is punishable by up to 7 years in prison and a fine of up to $15,000.
