Residents will see the Parks Department completing projects in November

November 14, 2025

News – Sheridan Media

Sheridan City Councilor Terry Weitzel and Parks Director Steve Gage appeared on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse to share how the City is preparing for the arrival of winter weather.

Gage said irrigation systems throughout Sheridan’s parks have been drained, a process that requires the full Parks Department staff due to the number of lines spread across the system that includes the Kendrick Municipal Golf Course.

For the City of Sheridan Parks Department, the winterization of parks and more is just the beginning. November presents an opportunity to get projects done.

Gage said residents will see employees out emplacing fencing at the golf course and some new playground equipment in some of the parks. The team recently finished emplacing pathway maps finalizing a large wayfinding project.
