Sheridan Man Changes Plea at Hearing in District Court

On May 14, 2025, Sheridan Police were contacted by the manager of the Good 2 Go gas station and convenience store about a deposit bag containing $2,072 that did not get deposited at the bank. An investigation into the matter led to the arrest of Robert Weber, the employee who was responsible for making the deposit on April 20.

Pursuant to the terms of a partial plea agreement reached with the State, Weber at a hearing Tuesday in District Court,  pleaded guilty to the charge of felony theft. The State is recommending a capped prison sentence of 3 to 5 years. At sentencing, the defense can argue for a more lenient sentence, such as probation or less incarceration time.

District Court Judge Darci Phillips ordered that a presentence investigation be completed by the Wyoming Department of Corrections Division of Probation and Parole and scheduled sentencing for February 3 at 9:45 am.
