Shelter’s Annual New Year’s Gala Promises Night of Glamour

News – Sheridan Media

For the past two years, Julio and Katusha Quintana have hosted a large New Year’s Eve gala at their private residence, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the Sheridan Dog and Cat Shelter.

Each year the gala has a different theme. The first year had attendees ring in the new year in the style of the Roaring 20s. The following year featured acrobatic acts, magicians and jugglers under the big top. This year, the Quintanas want their guests to feel like movie stars with a red carpet theme.

Sheridan Dog and Cat Shelter board members Whitney Kesner and Kim Deines made an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse inviting the community to take part in this unique experience.

It is through generous sponsorships that the Quintanas are able to ensure 100% of every ticket purchase goes directly to the Sheridan Dog and Cat Shelter.

Many grants and funding avenues come with requirements for how the money is spent. Deines told listeners that the gala not only raises a great deal of funds for the shelter, but it gives shelter officials the ability to use the money in a manner they feel benefits the animals the most, with no strings attached.

The benefit’s success depends greatly on volunteers and sponsors. To volunteer or become a sponsor, contact Katusha Quintana at 307-752-7704.
