Ucross Artist Residency has set a $25,000 goal for this year’s Giving Tuesday.
Ucross Communications Associate Emi Whiting made an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse to discuss the artist residency program that makes up the heart of Ucross.
Although Ucross hosts events throughout the year featuring music, art, and performances by dedicated and gifted artists, Whiting said the organization relies on contributions from generous donors. Ucross focuses on the artist first, providing a unique Wyoming experience that inspires composers, painters, writers and performers.

Giving Tuesday is now a global effort built on the idea that every act of generosity counts and everyone has something to contribute toward building a better world.
According to Whiting, each year Ucross provides more than 115 artists in residence with meals prepared by a professional chef, a private studio, living accommodations, a stipend, staff support, and cross cultural and cross disciplinary connections with peers who are also in residency.
