Sheridan Commission OK’s Grant Application for Airport Parking Expansion

Sheridan County’s Commissioners considered a grant application for federal assistance for the 2026 expand long-term parking lot project.

Airport Manger Robert Gill spoke to the commission, giving details on the grant and the project.

If awarded, the amount of funding will be roughly $1.9 million from the federal government, about $49,000 in state funds from WYDOT aeronautics, and about $49,000 in local matching funds.

When asked how many parking spaces would be included in the design of the new parking lot, Gill said there will be somewhere around 147.

The commission voted to approve the grant application.
