Natural History Museum of Wyoming Director Tom Hebert announced a drawing will be held for a family to receive an all expenses paid private dinosaur dig.

During a recent fundraising gala, a generous donor purchased the dig as an auction item. The donor then re-dontated the dig back to the museum to be used in any manner they deemed appropriate.

During an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Hebert announced the museum has decided to offer the once in a lifetime experience to a family here in Sheridan County through a drawing.

According to Hebert, depending on the amount of submissions, a second dig experience may be offered. The winner of the drawing will be announced during the grand reopening of the Natural History Museum of Wyoming, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, at 1 Whitney Way on the Sheridan College campus in Sheridan.
