The Museum at the Bighorns is excited to host their first Family Day on January 2nd, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 171 North Main Street in Sheridan. The event is free and open to the community.
The Museum will host an activity table featuring various animals from the High Plains and mountains with a focus on their diets and why they may differ.
The Sheridan/Johnson County Chapter of the Wyoming Archaeological Society and SWCA Environmental Consultants will be partnering with us and will bring their “Digging into History” dig boxes, educational artifacts, grinding slabs, and coloring pages.
In addition to the other activities, the Natural History Museum of Wyoming will have a Champsosaurus puzzle, and they will talk about the future partnership that they will have for the museum’s Environmental History exhibit.
Family Day at the Museum is generously supported by the Perkins Foundation.
