The Clear Creek Recreation District in Clearmont is beginning the Kid’s Basketball League at the rec district gym, starting Jan 6. The youngsters will learn the fundamentals of basketball from coaches Kelly Little and Bailey Underwood. The kids will learn basic shooting and dribbling skills while having fun.
The team is open to both boys and girls kindergarten through 4th grade, and there will be practices every Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6-7 p.m. The program will last for four weeks, and youngsters can join at any time.
The youngsters can also participate in a skills show on Jan. 29 at 4:15 before the home basketball game. Cost of the program is $35; $25 for those families with CCRD memberships.
