Beginning February 6, The Brinton Museum will open for the 2026 season. There will be new exhibitions, student art receptions, and special events.
The Brinton Museum will reopen for the 2026 season on Thursday, February 5, welcoming visitors back to the historic Quarter Circle A Ranch for a new year of exhibitions and public programs.
Three exhibitions will open to launch the season. One will be the annual All-Schools 5th Grade Student Art Show, which premiered in 2016 in the Forrest E. Mars, Jr. Building.
The museum will host two special receptions for the All-Schools 5th Grade Student Art Show, celebrating student artwork from across the region: on Friday, February 6 from 4–6 p.m. a reception for Sheridan County School District 2 and on Saturday, February 7 from 2–4 .m. will be the reception for Sheridan County School District 1.
Another exhibition will be Zak Pullen: 21st Illustrator Show, and Two Decades of Illustration: Highlights from the Collection. There will be a gallery talk and book signing with Pullen on Saturday, March 7 from 10 a,m. to 12 p.m. Together, these shows celebrate creativity across generations—from regional student artists to award-winning contemporary illustration and highlights from The Brinton’s permanent collection.
Additional spring programming includes the opening of a major exhibition, Jim Jackson: Legacy in Art and Leather, on view March 13 through August 3, with an opening reception on Thursday, March 12 from 5–7 p.m.
The Brinton will also welcome the season with Welcome Spring at The Brinton on Saturday, March 21 from 1–4 p.m., presented in conjunction with Bighorn Audubon Society and Science Kids.
