Museum at the Bighorns Shares Construction and Operations Update

Museum at the Bighorns Executive Director Carrie Edinger and Operations Manager Chip King appeared on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse to provide an update on the museum’s ongoing construction and layout changes.

King said it feels good to reach this stage of the project, which includes improvements to both the facility and the way Sheridan’s history is presented.

In addition to construction and exhibit development, the Museum at the Bighorns team has been working to establish standard operating procedures and administrative best practices. The effort is aimed at improving both the physical space and the efficiency of day-to-day operations.

Once the exhibits are completed and construction concludes, the museum will begin charging admission. Edinger said her background in museum management also led to a decision to expand the benefits of Museum at the Bighorns membership.

In addition to free admission, proposed membership benefits include up to three members-only history presentations each year.
