Vitamin String Quartet’s music has appeared in television series including Netflix’s Bridgerton, HBO’s Westworld and ABC’s Modern Family. Formed in 1999, the project helped popularize classical crossover music through studio recordings and live performances.
Vitamin String Quartet will perform at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, at the WYO Performing Arts and Education Center, presenting string arrangements of contemporary pop music.
Known for adapting music from a range of artists, the group has adapted music by Billie Eilish, BTS, Taylor Swift and Daft Punk. Their recordings have generated more than two billion streams, and their work has been featured by outlets including The New York Times, BuzzFeed and Nerdist.
Based in Los Angeles, the ensemble features a rotating lineup of musicians and producers and frequently collaborates with artists from other creative fields. Among the performers is violinist Wynton Grant, who began taking violin lessons in elementary school in Sheridan before studying at the Lynn Conservatory and the Yale School of Music. Grant has since performed on soundtracks for films and television projects including Oppenheimer, Avatar II: The Way of Water, Inside Out 2, Disney’s Mulan (2020), The Lion King (2019), Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett and The Simpsons.
