Sheridan Dog and Cat Shelter Executive Director AJ Evans reports the funds raised by the New Year’s Eve Gala has increased for a second year.
Evans appeared on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse in part to report that the New Years Eve Gala, a fundraiser organized and hosted by Julio and Katusha Quintana, raised $30,100 in undedicated funds to be used by shelter officials.

In its inaugural year, the gala raised $17,100. That amount would increase to $24,500 the following year. The gala is the brainchild of Katusha Quintana who wanted to find a way to help animals and honor her mother.
Each year the gala has a theme. The first year had attendees ring in the new year in the style of the Roaring 20s. The following year featured acrobatic acts, magicians and jugglers under the big top. This year featured a red carpet theme, allowing guests to feel like movie stars attending a premiere.
