A request for water service outside of the city limits was considered by the Buffalo City Council this week.
Mayor Shane Schrader explained further.
He said the request was to receive water service for ten homes on Airport Road.
The council voted to approve the agreement.
The cost of water service outside of the city limits is roughly double that of those inside the city.
Water (Inside City Limits):
Gallons Above Entitlement —– Rate
Next 5,000 Gallons ———— $3.00 per 1,000 Gallons
Over 10,000 Gallons ———- $4.40 per 1,000 Gallons
$39.75 for the first 5,000 gallons consumed
Gallons Above Entitlement —– Rate
Next 5,000 Gallons ———— $1.50 per 1,000 Gallons
Over 10,000 Gallons ———- $2.20 per 1,000 Gallons
Water (Outside City Limits):
$79.50 for the first 5,000 gallons consumed
