Johnson County School District Superintendent Charles Auzqui gave an update to the school board concerning the proposed restructuring of the board, after he discussed the issue with the State Board of Education.

He explained where the process is currently.

Auzqui added that a tentatively scheduled meeting in Buffalo with the State Board of Education for JCSD1 to present their case for restructuring has potentially been moved to Riverton.

The Johnson County School Board has been contemplating the idea of reorganizing the board to bring the number of trustees down to seven, from its current nine-member board, voting to move forward with the possibility at their meeting in January.
