Competition for a food conservation poster among the children of Sheridan’s schools was an unqualified success. Over 300 posters, many of a high degree of excellence, were submitted to the judges.
Twenty loaves of war bread will be given away to married ladies at the Monarch Pastime show on Sunday night, Nov. 11.
Two men were arrested at noon today on Main Street by Police Officer Shattuck for exceeding the speed limit. The men, who were both drunk, were driving a motorcycle with side car and were going down Main Street at an absolutely reckless rate of speed.
The Chase-Lister Theatre Company will be at the Orpheum Theatre starting Nov. 4.
