Goelet Gallatin of Big Horn was commissioned today as a field artillery captain at the wind-up of the second officers’ training camp held at the Presidio in San Francisco.
Mr. and Mrs. R.H. Walsh of Sheridan spent Tuesday in Washington, where they were dinner guests of Mrs. John B. Kendrick. The Walshes are on their way to France to labor for the American Red Cross.
The city schools will close for the Thanksgiving holiday at noon Wednesday, Nov. 28. The fact that the teachers are going to Buffalo to attend the Wyoming State Teachers Association necessitates the extra half-holiday.
