The final figures in connection with the first draft for the National Army from Sheridan county shows that 150 men were called for examination. Fifty-nine of these men were mobilized and sent to Camp Lewis at American Lake, and eight of these were disqualified for physical reasons after their arrival at the camp.

The period of Nov. 1 to Nov. 24 is the longest without precipitation since the Weather Bureau station was established here in 1907.

The new revenue parcel post tax went into effect yesterday. The tax is one cent charged on parcels bearing up to 25 cents postage.
