Henry Sutherland had an almost miraculous escape from death this morning when he fell through the skylight of Jacobs’ store. The 13-year-old fell a distance of about 20 feet, fortunately escaping with no worse injuries than a broken leg and some bruises.
Senator John B. Kendrick and Senator Kenyon arrived safely last night on their return trip from Europe. The return voyage was extremely rough, and the weather was blustery and cold.
County commissioners decided in their meeting yesterday that there will be no more work done by the road supervisors this winter unless ordered by the board.
