A Look Back in Time: Jan. 8, 1918

Miss Maxine Owens of Sheridan has received a letter from a serviceman at the front thanking her for a present sent to France.

Miss Anna Tolman of Custer, Montana, and Miss Helen Inier of Verona have entered Sheridan High School this week as members of the freshman class.

This evening will be the first monthly benefit for the local chapter of the Red Cross, pledged by the owner of the Orpheum theater for the duration of the war. Mr. Joe Koehler will devote an entire day’s net receipts at the theater to the Red Cross.

C.M. Shott of Acme is spending a short time in Sheridan. Also in town is Mr. Buffer from Big Horn.
