State Food Administrator T.C. Diers has announced that Saturday will be “Porkless Day” in order to increase the necessary supply of pork products for export. This includes ham, bacon, lard and all fresh and salt pork products, and is in addition to Meatless Tuesday when no pork shall be eaten.

The Poultry Show being held in the old city hall is the largest and best for years. The birds are of a high quality and, the judges say, are exceptionally fine for a show of this size. About 300 birds are entered.
