An ordinance enforcing the closing of saloons on week days from midnight until 6 o’clock in the morning was tabled on third reading in this morning’s city council meeting after an amendment was introduced to close saloons from 10 o’clock at night until 6 a.m. The ordinance and the amendment will be taken up again at the council meeting next week.
Mrs. Lewis entertained her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. S.D. Canfield, along with Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Denio, at dinner at the Western hotel last night.
