Three recruits left today on No. 42 for Denver, having joined the army at the local recruiting station. They are William J. Vaughn and Fred Blake, both joining the Coast Artillery, and John W. Curtis, who joined the Quartermaster department.
At the regular meeting of the city council this morning, the council ordered a street light to be installed at the intersection of Loucks and Gould streets, by the post office. This will be appreciated by the public, as this corner is very dangerous at night without any light.
The Basket Store is serving today and for the balance of the week free fig pudding, fruit pudding, mayonnaise dressing and 1000 Island dressing.
