With the blare of bands and the flutter of flags and vari-colored banners, 4,000 residents of Sheridan county marched down Main street last night in one of the most spectacular parades that has ever been held here. The parade heralded the kickoff of the Red Cross campaign.
In a letter written to his wife, A.R. Coffin, who is with Battery E, 148th F.A., American E.F., states that one of his company, also from Sheridan, was accidentally killed while handling a gun.
The summer addresses of the teachers of the Sheridan public schools was announced at the office of the superintendent today. Many of the teachers already have left Sheridan for their destinations.
