Judge Burgess pronounced sentence at 10:30 o’clock this morning on five prisoners who had previously pleaded guilty to the various charges against them. First to be sentenced was Joe Varacalli, who pleaded guilty to second degree murder of another man in Carneyville.
Mrs. M.E. Wells was a visitor in Sheridan yesterday from Parkman.
C.F. Ogborn, superintendent of the Sheridan Sugar Company, left yesterday for Hardin, Mont., to attend to company business.
Second Lieutenant Roger Bent will be united in marriage tonight to Miss Bernice Stevens.
